Welcome To MIB’s Instant Headache!
Hi, I’m the ManInBlack aka MIB, a tall dark, and ugly Autistic writer, amateur filmmaker, and dreamer, and I am the reason contraception was invented. I shall be your host for the most honest and fair Anime, movie and wrestling reviews on the web.
What you will find on this site are reviews of the latest films, Anime and WWE wrestling DVD/Blu-ray releases to hit the UK along with the hundreds of films I watch on a regular basis. If you miss a review for a new release, fear not as they’ll appear in the extensive and ever expanding archived reviews for each section.
Some of you may have previously seen my Anime and Asian film reviews on the Screen-One website but now they can be read within the confines of this here blog page. I’m a keen reader, film watcher and Anime fan and you may notice from many of the reviews on this site that my tastes in cinema leans heavily towards Asian and Foreign Language films, although I do have a soft spot for classic and silent movies too.
When I’m not watching or reviewing films, I am making them, I am an amateur film maker and a proud member of Orpington Video & Film Makers (OVFM) for whom I am webmaster of their site, which you can visit HERE. To sample some of my short films and editing projects please check out my Filmmaking section via the top menu!
If you crave more personal info about me then I shared some as part of the conditions in receipt of the ABC Award which you can read HERE along with four Liebster Award posts HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE and a Creative Blogger Award which is HERE.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the content on this here blog site thingy which you can navigate through by choosing from the links on the right hand side of the screen. Please feel free to leave any comments or feedback to anything you’ve read or follow me on Twitter, Mastodon, or Instagram. I will always respond.
Of course, everything contained within is merely my own personal opinion so agree or disagree as is your wont.
Thanks
MIB
Hi Lee,
The original MIB was Valentine Dial who told dark mystery tails on the steam radio programme Monday night at 8. However there’s no doubt about it Lee you are a very good web maker and make mine look very amateur. As I am not a avid film goer ,these days, not like in my youth when we would stand outside a picture house when an “A rated film was showing asking anybody “Will you take me in mister” imagine doing that today. One never dreamed there were dirty old men out there ha ha.
Well done on this site I am sure you will get a lot of hits. All the best RAwbob

Thanks Bob. If you look hard enough you may find some of those films from your youth among the general reviews! 😉

Bob, I wouldn’t like young Lee here to be misinformed as Monday Night at Eight was a programme in its own right. The Man in Black introduced “Appointment with Fear” which was on much later when us innocent young souls were supposed to be in bed.
Web site looks good Lee.

Thanks Annabelle.
By the way, Valentine Dyall nicked the “MIB” gimmick from me. he built a time machine, saw this blog then went back in time to supposedly create this character for himself. Johnny Cash did too! 😉 😛

Hey! Couldn’t find your email, so I thought to comment here.
We’re a bunch of creatives from all over the world and we just launched our KickStarter campaign for our film, Neo Empire, which is a visually groundbreaking gritty cyberpunk sci-fi film highly inspired by works such as Blade Runner and Akira. We’re really excited about it, and would be grateful for your help as we are trying to get people involved in our campaign. It’s an innovative new British Film idea, which we are extremely passionate about and we believe that others will share this passion with us. Below is a link to our campaign. We have launched already and we’d love if you could share the news and spread the word. I’d be glad to tell you more about the film if necessary. Thanks so much for your help in advance!
Cheers,
Sara

Thanks for the invite.
Unfortunately I must politely decline as know next to nothing about Agnes Moorehead, aside from Bewitched and Citizen Kane, so i would be of zero use to you. 😦
But I am sure the event will be another success for you, so thanks again for thinking of me and best of luck with it! 🙂

Just watched the reels on your Edits page, and I’m so impressed! I especially loved the Ben Turpin film, even though I’m not really a fan. But I really enjoyed that tribute to movie-making.
